Mark Woodbury - Guitarist / Vocalist
![]() |
Born in Boston, Mass. Mark’s love of music started at an early age as he listened to his father, Rick, singing and playing guitar as he grew up. He fondly remembers listening to his Dad playing the likes of Dylan, CCR, Clapton and Marshall Tucker along with his Mom, Barbara and his 4 sisters. Now after all these years he finds himself playing his own renditions of the same artists and even more.
When asked, what is his greatest joy??? Mark will never hesitate to let everyone know that it’s his family. He met his beautiful wife Becky, his first and last love, in Salem, Mass. at the young age of 18 years old. Through the years they became the proud parents of 4 beautiful children (Deirdre, Desiree, Jesse and Dara) who, in Mark’s words... "are beautiful people who, in their own ways, have found success, and make Becky and me very proud to be their parents". (And, if you’ve ever met Mark and Becky, you would still marvel at the fact that these two youthful souls are the proud grandparents of 5, as well.) So, how did the band get the name Curbstone? Mark will tell you with a big grin that he recalls stories from his Uncles about his Dad, Rick, playing music with his friends on the corners (curbs) of the streets of Boston….thus “Curbstone”. How fitting a name for a band that is not only a talented musical group, but also a group of great friends both on and off stage! If you are looking for a true music enthusiast, Mark Woodbury is someone you should meet. His passion for his ‘muse’ shines through in every venue he plays and has been known to be contagious to the other members of the band as well as the audience in front of him. |
