Tom's Page
Tom was born in Bethesda, Md., and spent his early years on the
sands of the Jersey Shore. The family would spend summers at the
beach house in Avalon, where it’s “cooler by a mile” and would
eventually move to Stone Harbor in 1976.

Despite going to a different school in 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 12th
grades, Tom turned out to be a relatively grounded kid, and by that I
mean he was always getting grounded! It must have been the
nervous energy from being the middle child (of six). That’s when he
discovered the drums.

Although he never really played in a band until Curbstone, he loved
to sing and taught himself to play the drums. His parents bought him
his first set at the age of 15 with the understanding that he would get
a summer job and pay them back. He did, and life was good.

Stone Harbor Pizza was his first taste of minimum wage. Early
musical interests were Grand Funk Railroad, Kansas, Kiss, Boz
Scaggs, BTO and oh yeah, Jimmy Buffett.

Where was this Margaritaville place anyway? I’m still looking for it,
but it’s not the destination, it seems to be all about the journey.

Some of Tom’s favorite things in life are beach music, convertibles,
good red wine (hey Igy, did you take my wine?), cooking, playing
Buffett tunes and jamming with Curbstone. What else is there
anyway?

Tom has sold cars and replacement windows – “It’s not a window, it’
s a window system, and here’s why”….bartended, cooked,
graduated culinary school with a gold medal, and a few years back
discovered the acoustic guitar and taught himself to play -
"Strummin’ my six string, On my front porch swing"….

So if you’re in the mood for some laid back acoustic sounds, kick
back, unwind and order up a “tweener”.

We’ll start you a tab.
